Dr. P. Elangovan is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of EEE, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kamban Engineering College, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India and M.E. in Power Electronics and Drives at Arunai Engineering College, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India and Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. He developed “Super-Lift Converter Based Electric Vehicle Using Solar Power” during 2016, which received “Best Innovation Award” in SINHGAD SOLAR VEHICLE CHAMPIONSHIP – 2017 at SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pandharpur during March 2017. He has published several research papers in refereed international journals and in the proceedings of refereed international and national conferences with 2 best paper awards. He is an active reviewer of IET Power Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Applications, Asian Journal of Mathematics and Computer Research, Current Journal of Applied Science and Technology and International Journal of Geography, Environment and Earth Science. He achieved ‘First Place’ in Research work presentation during Faculty Research Day at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai held on 24^th April, 2017. He is an active member of IEEE, IEAE and IEICE professional societies.
