Dr. M. Sumesh
He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Formerly) in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, M.I.E.T. Engineering College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, India. Before joining as Postdoc, he worked as Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, at CARE College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and Materials from the University of Malaya (UM) (QS world Ranked 60 in 2025) in Malaysia (2016-2020). He attended Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati and earned M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering (2008-2010). His B.Eng. in Civil Engineering (2004–2007) is from Anna University, India. He has wide range of experience in research and academic and worked at NIT Trichy (India), Karpagam University and Karunya University (India). He has publications in the premier journals of civil engineering including American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Journal of Building Engineering (Elsevier), Construction and Building Materials (Elsevier), and published more than 9 research articles in Web of Science; and 3 patents (Malaysia and India -IP). Moreover, he is also an active reviewer of various prestigious journals (Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer etc.).
